15 minutes of reading, and a map of your brain.
This is the measurement everything else starts from. The electrical activity of your brain is recorded, compared with normative databases, and a map comes out: where there is too much activity, where too little, which regions fail to coordinate. Without it, any protocol would be guesswork.
Once you've completed 90 neurofeedback sessions at the institute, your next BrainMap (qEEG) scan is free, so you can see in black and white how much your brain has changed since the first map.
You sit comfortably and a cap with 19 soft electrodes, moistened with saline, is placed on your head. It does not hurt and you feel nothing, because the electrodes only read the brain's activity without sending anything back.
Your brain activity is recorded: 7 minutes with your eyes closed and 7 with them open. The software captures the electrical impulses and begins to process them.
The data is analysed and interpreted by the team of specialists, on the basis of the more than 80,000 recorded points, to produce a complete profile that is usable in everyday life.
“I was always told I do not pay attention.” A man of 23, accused of not listening even though he was trying. The map showed slow activity, 6-9 Hz, in the central region: a pattern associated with attention difficulties. It also explained why reading was hard.
“For years I have felt emotionally exhausted.” Wide areas with an excess of slow waves, theta and delta, exactly where energy, motivation and emotional balance sit. A confirmation of a state deeply felt but hard to put into words.
A boy of 11, treated for years for ADHD after inconclusive tests. The map showed not an ADHD profile but a pattern consistent with Asperger's, and the prescribed stimulants did not suit him neurologically.
No, it is a completely non-invasive investigation: the electrodes only record and transmit nothing. The only sensation is the coolness of the sponges moistened in saline.
Yes, the only condition is being able to sit still for seven minutes with your eyes closed and then 7 with them open. It is done from the age of 2 upward.
Yes, the process is adapted to make the room a friendly place. Sometimes it takes patience, but the analysis is completed even with the liveliest children.
In those cases one or two calming training sessions come first. They lower the over-activation and raise sensory tolerance, so that the scan can be done comfortably.
3 working days at most. The analysis is done with the help of the software, but the final interpretation is made by the institute's specialists.
The measurement is done with a specialist, at a time you pick from the calendar. The session where the results are explained comes after, also 1:1.
You choose the specialist and the time. If it does not suit you, you can cancel.
